Louis Vuitton’s high-profile Spring/Summer 2027 runway show at the end of Paris Fashion Week, staged by women’s artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière in the historic courtyard of the Louvre (Cour Carrée).

The Dystopian-Futuristic Set: The runway was styled like a high-speed racetrack and urban metropolis, complete with retro-futuristic “flying cars” hovering overhead, painted in Louis Vuitton’s iconic Damier check pattern.

Designing for a Warming World: Ghesquière shaped the collection (titled “Ergonomie”) around the realities of climate change and rising global temperatures. He noted that increasing heat is fundamentally shifting how clothes must be engineered, prioritizing comfort, ease, and airflow.

The Fashion: In contrast to the heavy, chaotic urban set design, the collection itself focused on extreme lightness, technical fabrics, and fluid silhouettes (such as sheer organza, featherlight double-face cashmere, and bouncy jerseys) designed to move effortlessly with the human body.

Star-Studded Front Row: A-listers including Zendaya, Emma Stone, and Saoirse Ronan were in attendance to watch the grand finale of Paris Fashion Week.
