Faster & Greener Deliveries: How Foodi Is Transforming Urban Delivery in Bangladesh

As demand for faster and more convenient delivery grows across Bangladesh, Foodi is taking a step toward smarter and more sustainable logistics. By introducing electric bikes into its delivery network, the platform aims to make everyday deliveries more efficient, environmentally responsible, and practical for riders.

Foodi has already introduced more than 500 e-bikes across Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi and Khulna, with plans to make over 1,000 additional e-bikes available to delivery riders. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to combining fast delivery services with sustainable urban mobility.

Unlike conventional petrol-powered motorcycles, e-bikes offer an alternative for shorter urban journeys. Foodi is integrating these vehicles into its local delivery zones, helping riders operate closer to restaurants and customers while reducing unnecessary travel.

To support the initiative, Foodi is also developing charging facilities in key locations, including Banani, Uttara and Chattogram. Selected Foodi Mart dark stores are being equipped with charging support, allowing riders to recharge within their operating areas.

Beyond sustainability, Foodi continues to focus on delivery efficiency. For restaurant orders, the platform works toward delivery times of approximately 20–25 minutes, depending on preparation time, traffic and rider availability. Meanwhile, selected Foodi Mart locations can deliver groceries and daily essentials in as little as 15 minutes.

The company is also making electric mobility more accessible to riders through an installment-based payment structure, reducing the need for a large upfront investment.

Foodi’s approach demonstrates that faster delivery is not simply about vehicle speed. It is about building a coordinated system where riders, restaurants, fulfilment centres and charging facilities work together.

With its expanding e-bike fleet and growing delivery infrastructure, Foodi is helping shape a future where fast delivery and sustainability go hand in hand, setting a direction for smarter urban logistics in Bangladesh.
