U.S., Denmark and Greenland Reach ‘Infinite Life’ Security

U.S. President Donald Trump announced a strategic security agreement with Denmark and Greenland regarding the Arctic island. The deal grants the United States permanent access, basing, and overflight rights to secure the region. Under the arrangement, adversary nations are strictly prohibited from building military bases or making sensitive investments. Only NATO and European Union members will be permitted to execute sensitive financial investments on the territory. Washington plans to immediately expand its military presence and infrastructure development on the resource-rich island. Despite increased U.S. control over security operations, Danish and Greenlandic leaders emphasized that sovereignty remains intact.

The pact successfully preserves the right to self-determination for the local Greenlandic population.Formal signing of the agreement is expected during the upcoming United Nations General Assembly.
