Dolce & Gabbana Embrace Maximalist Verve with “Stavaganza Siciliana” SS27

Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled “Stavaganza Siciliana,” imagined the eclectic contents of a grand Sicilian wardrobe passed down through generations. Driven by the premise of a modern daughter mixing inherited family treasures—ranging from a great-grandmother’s handmade trousseau and antique lace curtains to a grandmother’s beaded party wear—with her own 21st-century pieces, the designers delivered a show defined by eccentric abandon and signature maximalist verve.

The playful runway featured unexpected combinations, pairing a classic tweed four-pocket jacket with nineteenth-century bloomers, a sheer beaded flapper dress over a black bra and knickers, and bejewelled jeans beneath an antique lace jacket.

Additional looks layered gilded leopard-print opera coats over baggy jeans and fashioned pencil skirts from crochet-fringed throws. Remixing their classic vocabulary to pay homage to their foundational Sicilian roots, the collection ultimately delivered a joyful celebration of the pure pleasure of dressing up.
