Alexander McQueen Returns to Historic London Runways After 25 Years

Alexander McQueen made a triumphant and long-awaited return to London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2027, marking the iconic house’s first official show in its hometown in 25 years. Under creative director Seán McGirr, the brand staged its dramatic homecoming inside the historic vaults of Lincoln’s Inn Chapel.

The collection brilliantly fused the dark, romantic codes of the brand’s founder with the raw, rebellious energy of London’s underground rave culture. Key design elements included sharply structured “angel wing” tailoring, metallic harnesses, and sheer, ethereal gowns. McGirr also collaborated with legendary Savile Row tailor Huntsman and original jewelry designer Shaun Leane to anchor the pieces in British craftsmanship.
