Bangladesh and Nepal Leaders Unite for Historic Toastmasters District 41 Training

First joint District Officers Training Programme marks a new chapter in cross-border leadership collaboration

Leaders from Bangladesh and Nepal came together at Best Western Plus Resort, Godawari, Lalitpur, Nepal, from July 3 to 5 for the first-ever District Officers Training Programme (DOTP) under the newly realigned Toastmasters International District 41, marking a significant milestone in the district’s journey and strengthening collaboration between the two neighbouring countries.

The three-day programme brought together newly elected and appointed district leaders to prepare for the 2026–27 Toastmasters year through leadership development, strategic planning, and knowledge sharing. More than a training event, it provided a valuable platform for leaders from both countries to exchange ideas, build lasting professional relationships, and work towards a shared vision for the growth of District 41.

District Director Md. Golam Dastagir Jony, DTM, inaugurated the programme by encouraging leaders to embrace their responsibilities with integrity, commitment, and a member-first mindset. He emphasized that effective leadership is built on collaboration, continuous learning, and dedicated service to clubs and members.

District 41 Mentor Ranjit Acharya, DTM, inspired participants with reflections on leadership, resilience, and adaptability, encouraging leaders to view change as an opportunity for growth and stronger regional cooperation.

The programme featured a series of interactive sessions covering club quality, educational excellence, membership growth, leadership development, district operations, finance, branding, communication, and speech contests.

Program Quality Director Diptee Acharya, DTM introduced participants to the “3 Es” of Club Quality—Engagement, Education, and Excellence, encouraging leaders to focus on creating meaningful experiences for members. District Chief Judge Moon Pradhan, DTM facilitated an impactful session on conducting effective speech contests, while Club Growth Director Ankit Goenka shared practical strategies for lead generation and club revitalization to support sustainable growth across the district.

Additional sessions were conducted by Anisha Karn, Kumar Thapa, Rumit Shrestha, Chandrayan Shrestha, Euden Koirala, Dr. Jamal Uddin Jamy, DTM, and Nusrat Huda, DTM, who shared practical insights across various aspects of district leadership and Toastmasters excellence.

Beyond the learning sessions, the programme offered participants an opportunity to interact with fellow district leaders from across the border, fostering stronger friendships, professional networks, and a spirit of collaboration that will benefit clubs and members throughout the year.

As District 41 embarks on its first full Toastmasters year following the realignment, leaders from Bangladesh and Nepal returned home equipped with fresh ideas, enhanced leadership skills, stronger networks, and renewed enthusiasm to serve their members and contribute to the continued growth of Toastmasters across both countries.
