Turaag Active, one of Bangladesh’s leading activewear brands, paid tribute to the historic achievement of the Bangladesh Women’s Futsal Team-champions of the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship 2026 by inviting the victorious squad to inaugurate its newly launched store in Narayanganj.
The celebratory event brought together sports personalities, corporate leaders, and members of the media to honour the team’s international success and their contribution to advancing women’s sports in Bangladesh. The inauguration was attended by Asif Ashraf, Managing Director of Urmi Group; Faiaz Rahman, Founder & Director of Turaag Active; Shamarukh Fakhruddin, Director, Urmi Group; Ahmmad Monsur Rouf, COO of Turaag Active; along with senior officials and distinguished guests.
The players received a warm and heartfelt reception, with the ceremony reflecting a shared sense of pride, inspiration, and sporting excellence. The occasion not only marked the opening of a new retail destination for Turaag Active but also reinforced the brand’s commitment to recognising and supporting female athletes.
As part of the day’s programme, the women’s futsal team also visited the UHM factory, an enterprise of Urmi Group, where they engaged in an interactive exchange with members of the Urmi family sharing insights from their international journey, the challenges they faced, and their aspirations for the future.
In recognition of their remarkable achievement, Turaag Active presented the team with financial rewards and special gifts as a symbol of encouragement and long-term support.
