Louise Trotter Champions Lightweight Ease and Tactile Luxury

MILAN — Creative Director Louise Trotter delivered a masterclass in lightness and texture for Bottega Veneta’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, presenting a refined balance of organic fluidity and polished structure.

Leaning into the house’s deep-rooted dedication to craftsmanship, Trotter explored a softer, more weightless wardrobe designed for the warmer season. The collection featured featherlight leather, airy crochet, Venetian lace, and fluid tailoring, playing on a sense of relaxed sophistication through precision-cut blazers paired with silky trousers, high-slit skirts, and unrestrictive layered silhouettes.

Staying true to a strong focus on movement and tactility, the looks incorporated cascading fringe details on blouses, wrap-waist trenches, and bags. These were paired with striking accessories, including fine-crochet paper-like hats and oversized, flattened leather carryalls.

The runway itself mirrored the collection’s tactile ethos, featuring custom seating installations designed by artist Illya Goldman Gubin from crushed cardboard molded to mimic the house’s iconic Intrecciato weave.

The presentation generated massive cultural buzz both on and off the runway, closing with Kendall Jenner in a striking asymmetrical gown as brand ambassador Jacob Elordi cheered her on from a star-studded front row that also featured Julianne Moore and Tyler, the Creator.
