Born into a well-known Zamindar family in Sylhet, Bangladesh, his course abruptly altered. He had to leave home at the tender age of 19 without anything in his possessions. His future appeared very bleak. However, through his tenacity, dedication, and determination, he became an orthopedic surgeon.
The twists and turns of destiny took him to the United States of America, where he obtained Board Certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Through his extraordinary clinical and surgical strides, he earned prestigious fellowships in the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the International College of Surgeons, thus acquiring worldwide fame.
In 1994, Dr. Chaudhuri harnessed his entrepreneurial spirit and created a multifaceted business for his commitment to the well-being of communities. His visionary investments span a range of healthcare facilities, including acute-care hospitals, medical groups, nursing homes, surgery centers, and more.
His diverse investments also include real estate, construction, information technology, biotech, a winery, agriculture, yoga studios, hotels, and hospitality. Currently, he owns over 4 million square feet of commercial real estate, 3 million square feet of professional building space, and land stretching over 18,000 acres. In the expanse of the Coachella Valley located in California, Dr. Chaudhuri has already begun creating KALIFORNIA CITY, a Smart City emerging on 6,213 acres on both sides of Interstate 10. Amidst these triumphs, one of his deepest desires is to build the world’s sky-high tower in Bangladesh—a gift to his homeland that shaped him.
Currently, Dr. Chaudhuri is engaged in high-stakes negotiations to construct the highest mixed-use tower on 80 South Street, Manhattan, and New York. If this negotiation bears fruit, the tower will ascend as the tallest in the Western Hemisphere.
